What are APK files?
APK stands for Android Package Kit or Application Package. It's the file format that Android uses to distribute and install program applications. As a result, an APK file contains all the elements that it needs to install correctly on your device. An APK is an archive file, meaning that it contains multiple files, plus some metadata about them. You're probably familiar with other types of archive files, like ZIP. Generally, archive files (like ZIP) are used to combine multiple files into one in order to make them more portable or compress them to save space. Amazon and Google use APK applications to distribute software packages.
What is APK-TV?
APK-TV refers to MySite’s proprietary TPV collection of open source Application Package Audio/Video Files and standard services which are selectively grouped into education and/or entertainment apps and downloaded to a computer or TV monitor via internet for private viewing. Most APK offerings are very different from Internet-based Protocol Television, which specializes in streaming of channels. Select APK files promote a larger variety of more robust audio/video materials which are lawfully available in the public domain. There are no cable or installation hassles and traditional terrestrial, satellite and cable formats are not required.
How does APK options like Google Apps work?
Google and Amazon application's APK protocol uses internet access to deliver a wide variety of software packages that provide a custom grouping of pre-recorded programming solutions for customers interested in broadening the scope of their entire education and entertainment experience. MySite, as your personal consultant and agent, will help you to understand how to find, properly download, setup and use APK applications. We teach you how to best utilize digital antenna’s and services like Netflix or Hulu in conjunction with high quality APK applications, such as Google or Amazon apps, to get the most out of your program options. Our service promotes quality lower priced alternatives to the escalating costs of Cable Television.
How much does MySite Global's "in-home" consulting service cost?
MySite Global's initial APK service consultation fee is free. Certain installation, setup and programming charges may be waived if you go with one of our recommended consumer packages. Usually a single meeting is required that lasts anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour. We guarantee to find you a large affordable selection of programming options while lowering your overall cable bill or the first month's payment is 10% off! Our standard consultation fee is $60.00/hour so free is a great deal! Also, purchases of recommended TPV hubs, hub accessories, APK service set up, installation, programming and training are one-time extra costs.
Does MySite Global lease or sell Hubs?
No. MySite believes that it is a prudent strategy for its Clients to buy their own equipment to keep costs as low as possible. This will allow Clients to continue to enjoy higher levels of programming as the industry evolves, and it most certainly will evolve. APK technology is in its infancy and constantly changing. Innovation will rule the internet and many vendors, having high quality innovative streaming platforms, will assure that costs stay low as customers face potential product upgrades. Still, it should be repeated that MySite does not sell or lease Hubs either. However, we do maintain a list of valid sources so customers can obtain high quality affordable units at pre-negotiated prices. These prices usually run up to 70% lower than comparable models. We do not receive commissions or kickbacks. We only ask that volume discounts be given to our Customers.
Is streaming of services like Netflix or Disney Plus legal?
Contrary to popular belief, streaming of program content is totally legal in the United States although it is highly regulated. Over regulation is probably due to copyright issues or the constant lobbying of major cable companies whose large infrastructures inflate costs. Cable companies have now started offering their own version of streaming services because they want to dominate the young streaming market. Without competition, the price will always be high and quality will suffer. Remember how much long distance service used to cost with its poor quality before MCI challenged AT&T on offering the service? Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, Tubi, and Disney Plus are all examples of legitimate streaming services. Still, downloading and/or sharing of pirated copyrighted content is illegal everywhere on the planet so we strongly advise against this action.
How much does MySite's basic monthly consultation plan cost?
Our recommended basic APK consulting and monthly review plan starts at $54.98 per month. During special promotions, we usually provide a free sample unit for demonstration purposes. Additional hubs can be ordered at a favorable discount by the customer via selected third party vendors. Clients may obtain up to (4) connections. Setup and install costs are extra and vary per plan. You can cancel without penalty at any time.
Can I watch on multiple monitors or devices at the same time?
Yes. We can assist customers in setting up multiple connections for up to 4 devices including TV monitors, computers, laptops & cell phones. We require no contract and promote access to numerous program offerings from around the world. Additional service, and hub installation charges will apply depending on the plan you select. Professional set-up, programming and customer training is provided with our consulting service.
